Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Manufacturing vertical. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers harness data to drive digital transformation and operational resilience, focusing on security and observability strategies.

You will lead technical discovery, design Splunk deployments, and demonstrate value through PoCs and live demos for executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
Understanding of modern security frameworks (SIEM, SOAR) and/or observability principles (APM, infrastructure monitoring).
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level stakeholders.
Experience working with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical workshops and whiteboard sessions.
Experience with cloud-native monitoring and security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Splunk certification or equivalent platform expertise is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Technical Partnership: Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle, conducting high-level discovery sessions to understand cybersecurity and performance challenges of manufacturing clients.
Solution Architecture: Design and architect robust Splunk deployments that aggregate data from enterprise IT environments, cloud architectures, and digital business systems.
Value Demonstration: Develop and deliver customized product demonstrations and POC engagements highlighting real-time threat detection and observability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services to align Splunk capabilities with manufacturing roadmaps.
Thought Leadership: Present at industry conferences and internal forums on cyber resilience and modern observability.
Strategic Enablement: Build reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments for enterprise security use cases.
