QuantumScape Corporation, located in CA, seeks a Process Engineer, Principal Member of Technical Staff, to own manufacturing processes on the floor and drive data-driven improvements. You will monitor production, lead RCAs, and coordinate cross-functional programs while collaborating with Quality, R&D, Automation and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related experience in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, JMP or equivalent.
• Experience managing or supporting cross-functional programs or projects including change control and planning.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Be a process owner on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with operators and engineers to ensure stable, high-throughput production.
• Monitor process performance in real time and respond to abnormalities; lead corrective actions.
• Use production data to identify inefficiencies, yield loss, and quality trends; implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain SPC charts, control plans, and KPI dashboards.
• Lead structured root cause investigations and coordinate CAPAs.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D, Automation, and Supply Chain on qualifications and transfers.
• Maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation.
