Job summary

Redwood Materials in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive incoming, process, and customer-facing quality activities. You will lead the identification and mitigation of quality risks and support the development and active improvement of key quality systems.

Qualified candidates have a BS in Engineering, 3+ years in quality, and experience with power electronics or battery technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality role.
• Experience with power electronics or battery technologies.
• Knowledge of quality tools and systems.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop process and product quality standards and quality plans to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Lead the development of DFMEAs, PFMEAs, Process Control Plans, and test/inspection procedures to identify, prioritize and mitigate quality risks to the product.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement critical quality processes and to achieve quality objectives.
• Execute process and product quality readiness tasks for production ramp-up.
• Ensure quality standards are developed, communicated, and upheld for all actions related to manufacturing the product.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to facilitate swift and effective issue resolution, including root cause investigations using quality tools and the development, implementation, and validation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with the quality systems team to follow standards and processes.
