Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead manufacturing design quality improvements, drive corrective actions, and implement robust processes. You will serve as a technical resource for cross-functional teams and apply advanced quality methodologies to ensure compliant manufacturing processes.

The role requires independent analysis of processes, development of quality plans, audits, and mentoring junior engineers, with travel up to 25% and potential second shift

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• At least 3 years in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience performing audits, validations, or process reviews.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering or manufacturing teams.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement contributions.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze manufacturing processes to identify quality risks and opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and execute quality plans, audits, and process validations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues.
• Mentor entry-level staff on quality tools and best practices.
• Track and report quality performance metrics.
