Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager, based out of our Carolinas footprint, to lead delivery of complex manufacturing programs for our Advanced Manufacturing practice. The Project Manager will translate production intents into layouts and material flows, guiding the design-build teams through to turnover.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and a track record in large-scale manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial projects.
Experience delivering design or design-build for manufacturing facilities.
US Citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Serve as Project Manager on manufacturing facility projects of $100M+; own scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and client satisfaction.
Primary interface between clients and AECOM’s design and design-build teams.
Translate client production intent into actionable layouts, material flows, and deliverable capital projects; apply Lean where appropriate.
Lead pursuits, fee and negotiations for design and design-build delivery; manage subcontractor contracts and scope.
Manage project financials, including NSR, margin, forecasting, invoicing and change orders.
Integrate process and equipment requirements with architecture, MEP, utilities and civil.
Guide industrial engineering scope (layout, material flow, throughput, automation) with Lean and Six Sigma.
Lead commissioning, start-up and turnover, including tool installation and production ramp.
Champion safety: embed EHS and constructability in design and uphold Safety for Life standards on site.
