Job summary

Schweid & Sons is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive capital projects, improve efficiency, and ensure quality across beef production. You will manage budgets, coordinate vendors, and apply lean methods to optimize lines and utilities.

The role requires deep familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, USDA regs, and a strong track record in food manufacturing. On-site in College Park, GA with some travel and a focus on reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in food/protein.
• GMP, HACCP, USDA familiarity and sanitary design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects scope, cost, and schedule from inception to commissioning.
• Evaluate vendor designs, select plant equipment, and prepare specs.
• Develop lean initiatives and optimize production line layouts.
• Coordinate contracting, risk mitigation, and project reviews with stakeholders.
• Support digital transformation and manufacturability in new products.
