Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a seasoned hardware manufacturing engineer to help build next generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers.

You will work on modular chassis based enterprise products and partner with overseas ODM/JDM manufacturers. The role requires extensive experience in NPI and manufacturing, with emphasis on supply chain support, second source qualification, and fleet support after production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain).
• 8+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Experienced interfacing with outside vendors and developers.
• Hands-on experience with SMT assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly for HDI boards.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD-001).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and SPC methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, gerber files, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of next generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers.
• Collaborate with overseas ODM/JDM partners during manufacturing.
• Support product life cycle after production release, including supply chain and second source qualification.
