Job summary

Amazon Web Services' Network Products Development team is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to help build our next generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers. You will lead high-speed hardware design and collaborate with Asian ODM/JDM partners for development and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with modular chassis based products, timing/thermal/EMC analyses, and a proven track record from concept to mass production in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.
• BSEE with 10+ years hardware board and systems development, mass production.
• 5+ years Ethernet switching fabrics, PHY, SerDes, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory design, network processors, I2C, USB.
• 5+ years CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with high-speed PCB design and EMC/ timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and system specifications for modular chassis products.
• Lead detailed design, component selection, and PCB layout collaboration.
• Work with ODM/JDM partners for development and manufacturing.
• Perform simulations, timing, thermal, EMC analyses; guide transition to manufacturing.
