Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking experienced hardware engineers to design next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for AWS datacenters.

You will lead high-speed digital design, modular chassis concepts, and collaboration with Asian ODM/JDM partners to bring products from concept to mass production. The role requires deep experience in terabit switch fabrics, 10/40/100 Gb interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, and EMC/thermal simulation.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• BSEE with 10+ years experience in hardware board and systems development, plus 5+ years with Ethernet switching fabrics, PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4.
• High-speed PCB design experience and CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive hardware design from concept to mass production.
• Lead architectural definition, component selection, and interface with PCB designers.
• Collaborate with ODM/JDM partners and manufacturing teams to transition designs to production.
