Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 9+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Exposure to welding, fabrication and machining.
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, manufacturing or industrial engineering desired.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts, principles and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to learn quickly and organize work to meet timetables.
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes for fabrication of parts and assemblies.
• Analyzes and resolves manufacturing and engineering problems.
• Designs production operation sequences and procedures for tools and equipment.
• Collaborates with design engineering on technical specifications to optimize manufacturing.
• Investigates, dispositions and justifies product non-conformances.
• Estimates manufacturing costs and determines time standards.
• Ensures compliance of production processes with regulations.
• Maintains records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
• Performs supplier audits and oversight to ensure conforming products.
• Communicates technical responses to supply base questions during proposals and manufacturing efforts.
• Supports on-site supplier kickoff meetings discussing plans and deliverables.
• Assists with development and status of project plans to the Control Account Manager.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Observes all laws and regulations; works safely.
