Toyoda Gosei Americas in Missouri is seeking a manufacturing engineer to plan, direct and coordinate plant processes to maximize efficiency. You will develop and improve manufacturing methods, analyze layouts, forecast staffing and costs, and work with vendors to procure equipment and parts.

The position requires a B.S. in Engineering (up to 2 years experience) and strong analytical, mathematical and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Responsabilités

• Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
• Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs.
• Confers with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and production schedules to facilitate production processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
