The role involves improving production methods, assessing capacity, and establishing production timetables across multiple departments. The engineer will assist in design, production, modification, and assessment of manufacturing procedures including machining, plastic processing, welding, assembly, and material handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
• 5-7 years of engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, 2D CAD, and solid modeling.
• Proficiency in internet search skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume work environments; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates, and enhances manufacturing techniques.
• Analyzes workflow, space requirements, and layouts for efficiency.
• Executes processes such as concrete molding, plastic molding, extrusion, thermoforming, recycling, and chemical blending.
• Collaborates with planning and design teams on product design and tooling for efficient production methods.
• Consults with vendors to determine specifications and coordinate purchases; evaluates products against standards.
• Estimates production times, staffing needs, and associated costs for decisions.
• Discusses capabilities and timetables with management to streamline production.
