LOCKHEED MARTIN CORPORATION in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Sr (Level 3) to join the Pre-Planning Team, initiating manufacturing planning and establishing the foundation for successful product-interface execution.

You will lead the early-stage planning, define requirements, create pre-plans with BOM and tooling, and collaborate with engineering and downstream teams to implement changes while maintaining documentation per AMMM standards.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing Planner or related experience.
• Proficient reading and analyzing blueprints and tool design docs.
• Experience with standard planning workflows, work instructions, and documentation for fabrication, assembly and installation.
• Working knowledge of MBOM structure.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional audiences.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of AMMM aircraft (C-130; F-22 is a plus).
• Proficiency with MES and ERP/MRP systems (CAPP, Shop Floor Manager, APRISO).

Responsibilities

• Lead the early-stage planning process, defining manufacturing requirements and aligning them with product design.
• Create pre-plans providing the bill of material, tooling requirements, build area and planning information to represented tool planners to execute tasks.
• Partner with airframe/structures design engineering and downstream organizations to develop successful implementation of changes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date manufacturing planning documentation, work instructions, and best-practice guidelines in accordance with AMMM standards.
• Provide technical guidance to peers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives high-quality results.
• Provide estimates for job-level planning tasks for visibility of team's workload.
