Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to translate engineering data into practical production sequences and detailed documentation. You will turn technical drawings and specifications into actionable work instructions, define optimal operations, and prepare documentation for aircraft parts, assemblies, and systems.

The role requires strong knowledge of BOM concepts (EBOM/MBOM/OBOM), experience with PLM/ERP tools, and collaboration across design, engineering, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing planning experience or equivalent in manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other references.
• Detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing and inspection methods for aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles.
• Familiarity with BOM concepts: EBOM, MBOM, OBOM and related data management.
• Experience with PLM/ERP tools and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, models, and specs to define optimal operations and sequences.
• Develop work instructions and documentation for parts and assemblies.
• Select tooling, methods, and flows to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, planning, and tooling teams for alignment.
• Investigate issues and maintain conformance to plans; adaptable to different shifts.
