Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Operations Consultant to drive performance improvements in manufacturing and distribution for private equity-backed portfolios. You will analyze operations, design transformations, and lead cost-improvement initiatives across facilities, sourcing, and governance structures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with at least 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Deep expertise in supply chain and manufacturing operations and related areas.
• Strong analytical and business process mapping skills.
• Experience leading change/communications strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of target’s manufacturing and distribution operations—design, capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review data to understand efficiency, capacity, equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and detailed production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and reviewing data.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee deliverables quality and manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure performance.
