Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations (1st Shift) in Decatur, Alabama to lead a cross-functional manufacturing area, drive safety, quality and on-time delivery, and champion Lean practices.

You will develop plans, manage budgets, coach leaders, and ensure standardized work, 5S, and continuous improvement across operations, with a focus on kaizen, root-cause analysis and sustainable results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing and operations.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Strong safety, quality and cost-management focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing area performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.
• Develop annual operational plan and align area metrics with plant goals.
• Lead salaried and hourly production staff within the area.
• Use performance boards to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain standardized work and escalate issues per site processes.
• Drive kaizen events and sustain countermeasures.
• Coach leaders on training methods and personnel development.
• Ensure 5S standards across the area.
