The Assistant Vice President – Manufacturing position in Reading, PA, will serve as the second-in-command to the VP of Manufacturing, guiding a 1,000+ person industrial operation. Partner with senior leadership to optimize performance, oversee capital projects, and develop leadership depth for sustained growth within a large-scale metals manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-unit or complex operations.
• Proven track record supervising senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing strategy in partnership with VP Manufacturing.
• Provide second-in-command leadership for 1,000+ employee organization.
• Oversee three General Managers and multi-unit operations.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Lead Lean transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and cost management.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on growth and capital projects.
• Develop leadership bench strength and succession plans.
• Align operations with cross-functional partners (finance, HR, engineering).
