Job summary

General Motors in Arlington, TX seeks a General Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Execution Zone Engineer to lead development, launch, and optimization of processes in General Assembly and Final Assembly. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related) with 2+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation systems, or assembly processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex technical problems independently.
• Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work off-shift hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for General Assembly/Final Assembly zones during launches and production operations.
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, automation systems, equipment, and tooling.
• Manage equipment projects from concept to production launch (procurement, installation, validation).
• Serve as primary engineering contact for assigned areas, ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Suppliers to resolve challenges.
