Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Flow & Control DFX Engineer to own end-to-end manufacturing flow and line control integration for TeraWave production. You will bridge production line architecture, control systems, and volume production readiness, ensuring manufacturability, testability, reliability, and serviceability at constellation scale.

You will lead DFM, DFA, DFT reviews, implement process control strategies, and drive first-pass yield improvements across the line

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree preferred in Engineering or Manufacturing Systems.
  • Experience with end-to-end manufacturing flows in aerospace/defense/high-complexity environments.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability, for assembly, and for testability.
  • Strong Lean manufacturing knowledge: flow, takt, waste elimination, value stream mapping.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end manufacturing process flow and define connections between cells to form a complete production line.
  • Lead DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews to optimize products and processes for flow and control.
  • Implement process control strategies, CPPs and CQAs, and SPC at the line level.
  • Develop go/no-go criteria and accept/reject workflows at verification gates.
  • Drive first-pass yield improvements and line readiness through proactive control strategies.
  • Oversee verification and test integration, including ATPs and test coverage mapping.
  • Lead DFx reviews and promote digital twin and virtual factory simulations.
