Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to help keep critical manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll apply your maintenance planning expertise to develop and implement programs that boost equipment availability and productivity.

In this role you’ll review specifications, support installation and commissioning of new equipment, and collaborate with production teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of repair and maintenance engineering gained through relevant education and professional experience.
• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or engineering activities within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret and review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications and evaluate equipment requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects or processes and solve difficult or complex technical problems.
• Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, maintenance, production teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering activities to improve equipment availability, reliability, and productivity.
• Review mechanical and electrical specifications to support maintenance strategies.
• Evaluate proposed equipment designs for reliability, maintainability, and availability of replacement parts.
• Partner with production teams to coordinate repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment requirements with production schedules.
• Support statutory safety inspections and help maintain safe, dependable manufacturing operations.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Independently manage assigned engineering projects and processes while addressing difficult or complex technical challenges.
• Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals, sharing technical knowledge and reviewing work as needed.
