Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC. is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer in Mount Pleasant, PA. You will plan and execute maintenance programs to boost equipment availability, reliability, and productivity, review specs, and assess new designs for maintainability.

You’ll work closely with production to minimize downtime while supporting installations and commissioning of new equipment. You will independently manage projects, address complex challenges, and coach others, contributing to safer, more reliable

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of repair and maintenance engineering.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or engineering activities in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical specs and evaluate equipment requirements.
• Proven ability to manage projects or processes and solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering activities to improve availability, reliability, and productivity.
• Review mechanical and electrical specs to support effective maintenance strategies.
• Evaluate proposed equipment designs for reliability and maintainability.
• Partner with production teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance with schedules.
• Support safety inspections and maintain safe manufacturing operations.
• Install, test, and commission new equipment; lead projects independently.
• Coach and guide less-experienced professionals and review work as needed.
