Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to plan, develop, and implement maintenance programs that boost equipment availability, reliability, and productivity in our manufacturing operations.

You will review mechanical and electrical specifications, evaluate new designs for maintainability, coordinate repairs with production, manage projects independently, and coach junior engineers while solving complex technical challenges to improve safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of repair and maintenance engineering.
• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or engineering activities in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret and review mechanical and electrical specs and evaluate equipment requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects or processes and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering activities to improve equipment availability, reliability, and productivity.
• Review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications to support effective maintenance strategies.
• Evaluate proposed equipment designs for reliability, maintainability, and availability of replacement parts.
• Partner with production teams to coordinate repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment requirements with production schedules.
• Support statutory safety inspections and help maintain safe, dependable manufacturing operations.
• Participate in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Independently manage assigned engineering projects and processes while addressing difficult or complex technical challenges.
• Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
