Job summary

Advance Mfg is seeking experienced Estimators to support quoting and manufacturing operations in Westfield, MA. You will analyze RFQs and develop accurate labor, material, shop lead time, and NRE/NRT cost estimates for component parts and assemblies.

The role involves reviewing RFQ requirements, preparing detailed estimates, obtaining material costs, evaluating machining and fabrication needs, and collaborating with engineering, production, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of metals, machining processes, and welding techniques.
• Hands-on understanding of manual and CNC machining, setups, machine tooling, and inspection methods.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and close-tolerance manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ requirements, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand all processes required to produce the part.
• Prepare detailed labor and time estimates for manufacturing operations.
• Identify and obtain costs for materials and all required outside processes.
• Evaluate machining, welding, and fabrication needs to support accurate cost estimation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams as needed.
