Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide advanced technical support on the production floor, install tooling, stabilize lines and troubleshoot complex process issues. This senior role works with limited supervision and guides other technicians.

Qualifications

Required: HS diploma or GED.
8+ years of experience as a manufacturing, process or equipment technician.
8+ years of hands-on experience installing, setting up and troubleshooting equipment, fixtures and tooling.
5+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, process sheets and work instructions.

Responsibilities

Leads the installation, setup and fine-tuning of equipment, fixtures and tooling.
Provides advanced technical support to operations to hold process standards and cycle times.
Performs tests, measurements, capability studies and process documentation.
Troubleshoots complex process and equipment issues and implements corrective actions.
Builds and maintains process sheets, work instructions and visual aids.
Supports line launches, trials and process-improvement projects.
Provides guidance and training to less-experienced technicians and operators.
