Job summary

Hyliion seeks a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to own the manufacturing engineering function across its Cedar Park, TX headquarters and Milford, OH R&D site. The role bridges engineering design of the KARNO Power Module with scalable production systems, while coaching a team of engineers and solving complex production challenges.

The ideal candidate brings extensive process engineering experience, DFM/ PFMEA expertise, and a proven track record of producing manufacturable, high-volume

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years of core manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years of direct people management leading engineers.
• Proven track record of productionizing engineering designs into manufacturable, scalable systems.
• Preferred: AS9100/ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS; background in power generation or electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into manufacturable, repeatable production configurations across two sites.
• Design, develop, and qualify tooling, fixtures, and processes for quality and volume scalability.
• Own PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, SOPs, and MBOMs; keep them current for production floors.
• Define material flow and standard work to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Drive capability studies, measurement systems, and process controls from first article to production.
• Partner with Design Engineering for DFM throughout product lifecycle.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of manufacturing engineers.
• Drive cross-functional milestones with Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Manage the capital equipment program end-to-end: business case, vendor selection, qualification, and installation.
• Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA with Operations and Quality.
• Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence in a scaling environment.
