Job summary

Hyliion seeks a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead the function at its Cedar Park, TX HQ and Milford, OH R&D operations. You will bridge product design to scalable production, defining processes, tooling, documentation, and infrastructure for the KARNO module.

This player-coach role requires building a team of manufacturing engineers while staying hands-on to solve challenging production problems and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education and experience meeting a bachelor's degree in engineering and senior manufacturing leadership.
• 10+ years in core manufacturing engineering with scope progression.
• 3+ years of direct people management leading engineers in manufacturing.
• Experience turning prototypes into manufacturable, scalable systems; prefer QMS background.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into manufacturable, repeatable production across sites.
• Design and qualify tooling, fixtures, and processes for quality and volume.
• Own PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Lead lean initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste.
