Job summary

International Motors in San Antonio, TX seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead torque tooling innovations and drive data collection for new vehicle customization launches. You will collaborate with shop-floor technicians and application engineers to develop processes, standards, and tooling specifications that improve efficiency and quality.

You’ll manage multiple tooling projects, interface with sales and engineering, and maintain rigorous documentation while traveling to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required; 1+ year manufacturing experience acceptable.
• Master's degree in engineering acceptable with no work experience, or 3+ years of factory manufacturing experience.
• Experience with torque tooling, process Standardization, and tooling recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains work instructions and operation sequences.
• coordinate with application/sales engineers and production for new customization.
• Estimate manufacturing cost and define process standards for tooling.
• Maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
• Define torque tooling specs with vendors and manage tooling installations for launches.
• Plan tooling installation timelines, procurement, and design specifications.
• Schedule and report on activities and KPIs across departments.
• Manage multiple projects/tasks within set timelines.
• Maintain high visibility with factory senior management.
• Review quotes and adjust as needed before production release.
• Coordinate with finance to procure parts and specify alternate BOM parts.
• Support daily production while leading pilot truck launches.
