This role offers hands-on leadership on the shop floor, full ownership of projects from concept to production, and opportunities to shape processes, mentoring, and customer/vendor collaboration. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in manufacturing engineering and CNC experience, with Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 15+ years in manufacturing engineering, aerospace experience strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of hands-on CNC experience required.
• Proven track record of building and optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Real shop-floor troubleshooting skills and a willingness to get hands-on.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Natural leadership instincts — someone who mentors, not just manages.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on leadership — solving problems shoulder-to-shoulder with machinists on the floor, not just directing from a desk
• Full ownership of manufacturing projects from concept through production
• Development of processes for aerospace components where precision and safety aren't optional
• A culture of continuous improvement — building it, not just following it
• Direct collaboration with customers, vendors, and leadership, with real influence on decisions
• Creation of the work instructions, training materials, and documentation that will guide this facility for years to come
