Job summary

Simplexity Product Development seeks an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead cross-functional teams and bring complex robotic systems into production. You will bridge R&D, quality, supply chain, test, and manufacturing to establish robust processes for safe, reliable, manufacturable products.

The role requires experience in robotics or electromechanical products, manufacturing transfer, defect management, SPC, and continuous improvement, with on-site Seattle work and travel as

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing, hardware quality, NPI, process engineering, or operations experience with technical leadership.
  • Experience with casting and injection molding processes.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and transferring robotic systems to production.
  • Strong knowledge of actuators, sensors, electronics, batteries, and safety systems.
  • Proven use of structured quality and problem-solving methods to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Experience with assembly, calibration, tolerance analysis, integration, inspection, and end-of-line testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Translate requirements into quality, reliability, safety, and manufacturability plans.
  • Transfer robotic products from prototypes to production, including ramp-up.
  • Establish risk-management strategies using defect tracking, FMEA, control plans, and reliability testing.
  • Define and monitor metrics like defect escape, uptime, yield, throughput, and scrap.
  • Apply SPC and process-capability methods across assembly, calibration, test, and suppliers.
  • Develop and qualify assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and end-of-line test systems.
  • Lead system-integration investigations and resolve field or supplier failures.
  • Qualify manufacturing sites and suppliers for process capability and quality.
  • Drive manufacturability and cost decisions across robotic subsystems.
  • Manage program priorities, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support on-site work in Seattle and travel to locations as needed.
