Job summary

Justrite Safety Group in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation. You will drive reliability improvements, own KPIs like OEE, and mentor maintenance staff in proactive maintenance practices.

The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing engineering, a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree, and proven leadership in complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in metal fabrication or related industry.
• Experience leading equipment reliability and process improvement projects.
• Experience with machine uptime metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.
• Own equipment reliability and process capability metrics.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for downtime and quality issues.
• Mentor engineers and maintenance staff; lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
