Job summary

Justrite Safety Group in Mattoon, IL seeks a Quality Manager to lead the QA team on the production floor, ensuring product quality and compliance across manufacturing.

You will develop QA documentation, coordinate with suppliers and inspectors, and drive continuous improvement using RCCA, 8D, and lean methods.

Qualifications

• QE with metal fabrication/welding manufacturing experience required.
• Formal quality system experience required.
• Experience with RCCA/A3/8D methodologies.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Power BI experience is a plus.
• ERP systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compare production drawings to parts and advise on discrepancies.
• Develop QA manuals and QA documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party/state inspectors (FM/UL/TUV) to maintain compliance.
• Maintain ISO 9001 certifications.
• Create and maintain work instructions for QA processes.
• Develop and maintain an active gauge calibration system.
• Collaborate with Customer Service on RCCA responses to complaints.
• Manage engineering deviation requests and identify permanent solutions.
• Review and approve Supplier PPAP submissions for new or revised parts.
• Initiate and manage engineering change requests.
• Oversee QA Specialists and team development.
