Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing methods, tooling, automation, and machine designs to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

You will own plant machine uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and related KPIs, partnering with Operations and Maintenance to drive reliability improvements. The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing engineering and a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 7–10 years manufacturing engineering experience in metal fabrication or related industrial environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of manufacturing improvement projects with measurable results.
• Experience owning/improving machine uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and other performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
• Serve as SME for equipment reliability and process capability.
• Own plant machine uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and related KPIs; set targets and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for downtime and quality issues.
• Develop and implement reliability, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs.
• Provide dotted-line leadership to Maintenance on reliability and maintenance planning.
• Prioritize equipment improvement projects and capital investments by safety, reliability, and financial impact.
• Mentor Engineers, Technicians, and other staff; lead cross-functional CI initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma/TPM.
