Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Irvine, CA, seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to provide day-to-day leadership, develop and execute robust manufacturing processes, and ensure safety, quality, and throughput improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers and co-ops, and drive lean initiatives from design through production, delivering repeatable results and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial preferred.
• Strong skills in CAD/3D modeling and Excel.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, implements, and upgrades manufacturing processes and tooling to improve yields and efficiency.
• Troubleshoots processes and equipment and performs root-cause analyses.
• Ensures processes are documented, controllable, and manufacturable.
• Leads cross-functional teams on productivity projects delivering safety and throughput gains.
• Supports transitions of new programs from engineering to production.
• Mentors manufacturing engineering team members and co-ops.
