Job summary
Columbia Tech in Westborough, MA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Product Development to evaluate manufacturing processes and collaborate with design and quality teams. This on-site role requires understanding DFMA, NPD, and DS. You will work with engineers and program managers to ensure robust production readiness.
The position emphasizes transitioning products to production, process flow creation, and maintaining assembly documentation. A strong CAD/ERP background is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in ISO regulated capital equipment product manufacturing.
- Experience with New Product Development processes and New Product Introduction.
- CAD proficiency with SolidWorks and a good grasp of drawing standards (GD&T).
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and related data management tools.
- Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA and basic quality tools.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to translate product requirements into manufacturable processes.
- Work with Program Managers to understand SOW deliverables and project milestones.
- Support transition of products to production with Pilot Production Supervisors.
- Identify high-risk processes and opportunities for DFMA or cost reduction.
