Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for its AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution Aerospace division in Torrance, CA. This on-site role involves leading manufacturing processes, improving safety, yield, and cost performance while supporting new product introductions.

You will manage process documentation, develop capital equipment projects, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer/regulatory requirements. 50-mile residency is required and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, CAD/CAM or similar software.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status (citizenship, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT etc. will be provided.
• Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for the assigned manufacturing cell, driving operational excellence.
• Improve machine uptime, setup, solder/placement defects, and solderability.
• Optimize programs and fixturing to increase tool and machine utilization.
• Lead PFMEA, control plans, and readiness reviews for NPIs.
• Apply root-cause analysis to resolve yield, downtime, and safety issues.
