Job summary

Liquid Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to oversee the Wave Glider production line, drive design-for-manufacture improvements, and lead NPI transitions from prototype to full-scale production. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, rigorous documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.

The position emphasizes process discipline, lean manufacturing, and adherence to AS9100 standards while expanding capacity and ensuring reliability

Qualifications

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field and extensive manufacturing experience.
At least 9+ years in manufacturing or production engineering with complex electromechanical hardware.
Experience in aerospace, defense, marine, or medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define, validate, and document assembly procedures, SOPs, and line layouts.
Develop and maintain process documentation and change controls.
Support New Product Introduction and prototype builds for production readiness.
Provide DFMA reviews and collaborate with R&D to improve build quality and reliability.
Design and build jigs, fixtures, and test equipment; assist with calibration and qualification.
Provide daily hands-on production support to maintain yield and address non-conformances.
Apply lean methods to reduce scrap and optimize cycle times.
