Job summary

Liquid Robotics is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer to own test creation and execution for Wave Glider systems and payloads in Jessup, MD. This role reports to Systems Engineering and leads verification across projects, working with systems, mechanical, electrical, and software teams.

You will develop verification plans, create test artifacts, run campaigns, and produce objective evidence of compliance, mentoring others and driving best practices in testing.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, CS, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years in verification/test engineering or validation in electro-mechanical or embedded systems.
• Experience developing verification plans and executing campaigns across hardware/software.
• Hands-on with test equipment and scripting for automation (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
• Familiarity with requirements traceability and ECO/ECO processes.
• Ability to work across systems, mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
• U.S. Person status required; ability to obtain US Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end verification for subsystems or systems.
• Create, document, and maintain test cases, procedures, and scripts.
• Execute verification tests and produce pass/fail summaries.
• Develop and maintain test infrastructure and automation scripts.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, design teams, and field support.
• Lead verification for design changes and regression campaigns.
• Support root cause analysis with targeted verification tests.
• Ensure traceability of artifacts to requirements.
• Mentor junior verification engineers and improve test processes.
• Participate in design and requirements reviews early in lifecycle.
