Job summary

Liquid Robotics seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and scale production for Wave Glider USVs and associated electromechanical systems. This role bridges design engineering and volume production to make manufacturing repeatable and efficient.

You will lead NPI activities, expand capacity, and ensure AS9100 quality standards, tackling complex challenges to keep launches on schedule. Onsite role with up to 10% travel and strong emphasis on high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 9+ years in manufacturing or production engineering with complex electromechanical hardware.
• 5+ years on shop floor; aerospace/defense/marine or medical device experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and document assembly procedures, test procedures, SOPs, and line layouts.
• Develop and maintain design control records, BOMs, and quality system docs.
• Support New Product Introduction and transition prototypes to production.
• Provide DFM feedback and work with design teams to improve build quality.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and test equipment for integration and verification.
• Provide daily hands‑on troubleshooting to maintain high yield.
• Apply lean manufacturing to reduce scrap and improve cycle times.
