Job summary

ECO Magazine is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and scale production for Wave Glider platforms and related electromechanical systems. You will bridge design engineering with volume production, owning complex challenges and driving NPI through to full manufacturing.

Responsibilities include defining procedures, building assembly lines, writing work instructions, and ensuring AS9100/ISO quality compliance while improving yield and reliability in harsh marine environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
9+ years in manufacturing or production engineering with 5+ shop floor experience.
Experience with complex electromechanical hardware, robotics, or autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

Define, validate, and document assembly procedures, test procedures, SOPs, process flows, and line layouts for the Wave Glider vessel and hardware.
Build and improve assembly lines for subassemblies and components such as electronics payloads, sensor integrations, and cable assemblies.
Write work instructions and train technicians; define manufacturing routings in the ERP system and perform time and cost studies.
Develop and maintain documentation including design control records, product configurations, manufacturing procedures, lot history records, bills-of-materials, and Quality System requirements.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to transition prototypes into full production and meet customer deliverables.
