Job summary

Vertiv Delaware, Ohio is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, develop efficient workflows, ensure safety, and improve product quality. Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field; Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Eng preferred; experience may substitute.
• 2-5 years in a production environment preferred.
• 2-5 years in equipment design and fabrication preferred.
• Lean Certification preferred.
• Strong cost-control, attention to detail, and safe light manufacturing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle EBS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement and workflow optimization; plan, design, and implement projects to improve quality, cost, productivity, and cycle time.
• Lead and design strategies to improve processes within Operations.
• Apply Lean methodologies and tools to achieve business goals.
• Advise production teams on projects, tasks and operations.
• Some automation work is expected.
• Support ISO Quality System, Quality Policy, and Continuous Improvement with Lean principles.
• Develop, document, and maintain detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct PFMEA to identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and manage development and evaluation of complex designs.
• Collaborate with Engineering on fixture design, validation, and fabrication.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
