Job summary

Markent Personnel is partnering with a Milwaukee area manufacturer to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Lean Six Sigma background. You will bridge design engineering and the production floor, drive introduction of new products, and lead process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

The role focuses on establishing methods, supporting line integration, and advancing ergonomics while maintaining production capability in a large assembly operation.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering; a Master’s would be great.
• 5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation.
• Proficient CAD skills (Pro-E/Creo), Word, Excel, and Access.
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma.
• Ideally, prior experience establishing in assembly line from concept into production.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on setup assembly line, establish processes and documentation.
• Bring mobile equipment products from design hand-off to completion.
• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes that affect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Lead the development of Operation Method Standards (i.e. how best to assemble products).
• Uses advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot production line problems.
• Lead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs.
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling and part flow.
• Capital equipment justification
• Work to advance safety and ergonomic practices
