Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production processes on the shift, owning magnet-related fabrication operations and collaborating with design, QA, and supply chain teams to improve productivity and quality. The role runs Friday–Sunday, 6:00 pm–6:00 am, with a 15% shift differential.

A BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and 7+ years in manufacturing are required, along with Lean/Six Sigma expertise and

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience required.
• Strong quality systems knowledge and leadership
• Proficient in CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Make real-time manufacturing decisions within guardrails.
• Analyze and improve processes to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process flows.
• Collaborate with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Lead tooling, fixture, and equipment design for production.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization.
