Job summary

Saab AB is hiring a Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership in developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. You will drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to production, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and reliability.

The role requires 8+ years related experience with a engineering degree, strong analytics, and proven ability to lead complex engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a master’s; or a PhD with 3 years of experience.
• Strong experience in manufacturing process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through implementation and production.
• Proficiency with engineering documentation, data analysis, and standard manufacturing engineering tools.
• Strong technical communication, presentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently determine appropriate engineering methods, procedures, and evaluation criteria for complex assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and drive alignment among stakeholders with differing priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing standards, procedures, and work instructions.
• Develop testing, validation, and evaluation methods for manufacturing processes.
• Track project performance, identify risks, and coordinate actions to meet objectives.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving techniques.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, qualification, and process validation activities.
• Develop and optimize processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and OEE.
