Job summary

Alert Venture Foundry seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the transition of hardware from bench builds to repeatable, field-ready production. You will work across design, engineering, program management, suppliers, and assembly teams to ensure products are easy to build, repeatable, and scalable.

This is a hands-on role on the assembly floor and in DFM/DFA reviews, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and program teams to close issues and drive design changes for reliable

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing or production engineering experience, including hands-on work.
• Strong DFM/DFA background across mechanical assemblies and design changes.
• Hands-on experience designing fixtures and tooling for assembly floors.
• Experience managing contract manufacturers and fabrication vendors.
• Comfort owning production readiness in a startup environment with limited process maturity.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the transition of hardware from prototype builds to repeatable production-representative builds.
• Identify and resolve build issues surface during assembly and field deployment.
• Lead hands-on assembly of prototype and pilot builds with assembly teams.
• Develop and document repeatable build processes, work instructions, and quality checkpoints.
• Design and specify fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support assembly, test, inspection, and service.
• Manage relationships with manufacturing partners, machine shops, and fabrication vendors.
• Partner with program management on NPI phase-gate readiness and certification requirements.
• Mentor and coordinate with other manufacturing and mechanical engineers as AVF grows.
