Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to build and optimize on the production floor for UL 891 switchboards and related electrical assemblies. This hands-on role requires coordinating across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT to drive scalable, cost-effective manufacturing in an engineered-to-order environment.

The ideal candidate will strengthen Epicor ERP data, lead MES initiatives, and develop robust processes, routings, and work instructions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5–15 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on working style on the production floor with multiple priorities.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings, fabrication prints, and customer specifications.
• Experience creating SOPs, standard work, routings, and scalable manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, procure, and implement tooling, fixtures and equipment for scalable production of UL 891 switchboards and large assemblies.
• Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and process issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers and shop staff on flexible manufacturing for both ETO and CTO production.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement, DFM, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, labor standards, routings, and work instructions in Epicor, becoming SME for ERP data.
• Lead MES implementation and integration with shop-floor processes for visibility and control.
• Translate customer drawings into manufacturing plans and routings.
• Optimize processes to improve throughput, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Support new product introductions, changes, and capital equipment projects; mentor junior engineers.
