Blue Origin is seeking a Director to own the manufacturing outcomes for the electric propulsion thruster line. You will be the single-threaded leader for Operations, defining value streams, building the team, and aligning with design to deliver rate production.

Responsibilities include transitioning from development to rate production, qualifying tooling, and driving producibility while maintaining safety and quality.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 10+ years in manufacturing/operations with leadership.
• Experience transitioning products to rate production.
• Experience defining and managing value streams and BOMs.

Mansioni

• Own strategy, roadmap, and priorities for manufacturing outcomes (rate, quality, cost, people).
• Build the production organization and hire/develop leadership.
• Own the get-to-rate plan from development to rate production with approved cycle times.
• Lead transitions from development to rate production with proper tooling and work instructions.
• Drive producibility during design and manage the manufacturing view of the BOM.
• Establish interfaces with QA, supply chain, planning, and test operations.
• Manage the program budget and capital plan; ensure cost and rate objectives.
• Set safety and quality culture for the new production team and scale.
