Rantec Power Systems Inc. seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturability, develop and monitor costing-efficient processes, and ensure products are built with quality and safety in mind.

The role partners with Design Engineering to implement DFM, transfer products from design to production, and document assembly and process controls. ITAR compliance and Lean methods are emphasized for continuous improvement.

Formación

• BS degree in a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical assembly and inspection requirements including current industry standards.
• CAD/CAM/GD&T.
• 6S and Lean Manufacturing.
• Statistical Process Control methodology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside sources.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain expertise in Best Practice Electronics Assembly and Systems Integration.
• Partner with Design Engineering from product inception to ensure DFM guidelines are followed.
• Review and approve all new product engineering documents as the Manufacturing DFM Gatekeeper.
• Ensure products are transferred from design to manufacturing.
• Identify, design, procure, and validate fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Design and document manufacturing methods that meet cost targets.
• Create Assembly Instructions (AI), MOI, Training Courses (TC), JB, PCP, and other docs.
• Maintain and improve production documentation and tooling.
• Manage tasks and suppliers to meet schedule demands.
• Resolve production problems quickly through engineering support.
• Monitor & audit production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety.
• Monitor defect trends and scrap events for improvements.
• Participate in Materials Review Board and RCCA Analyses.
• Implement recommendations for labor standards and times.
