Job summary

Divergent is a technology company delivering advanced automotive and aerospace components with the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS). The Principal Manufacturing Engineer bridges design and production to optimize manufacturability and reliability of high-performance hardware.

This role provides end-to-end manufacturing ownership for multiple products, guiding new concepts through rapid iteration, implementing DFM, and ensuring quality throughout development and production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
10+ years hands-on experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Significant exposure to aerospace or defense industries.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) and GD&T understanding.
Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing, robotics, or automation.
Proven track record leading complex projects from concept through production for high-reliability applications.

Responsibilities

End-to-end manufacturing ownership of multiple development and production products.
Technical lead for all manufacturing processes.
Develop, implement, and refine scalable manufacturing processes.
Drive improvements in yield, cycle times, and first-pass quality using data-driven methods.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
Lead new concepts and products through the factory with rapid iteration and DFM integration.
Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Lead cross-functional teams and support growth initiatives from leadership.
