Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions Segment is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation & Controls to design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for hydraulic hose manufacturing machinery. You will work hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, servos and electrical schematics to ensure robust automation solutions.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering high-quality control systems that meet time and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PLCs, HMI development, and AutoCAD.
• Strong background in machine automation and electrical schematic design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; SolidWorks Electrical is a plus.
• Experience with photo sensors, vision systems, and pneumatics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and lay out electrical control panels complying with UL508A and NEC.
• Select and integrate sensors and automation components per specs.
• Develop, modify, and debug PLC, HMI, and servo motion programs.
• Create electrical schematics, documentation and BOMs.
• Budget time and costs, and ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to integrate components.
• Troubleshoot control systems on-site and remotely.
• Train and mentor junior Electrical Controls Engineers/Maintenance Technicians.
