Job summary

The Boeing Company in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer for our LEOS team. You will design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling for complex electro‑optical aerospace parts, collaborating with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and cost‑effective production.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
• Prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering or similar functions in an aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling for complex electro-optical aerospace parts.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and cost-effective production.
• Review engineering drawings and provide comments to responsible engineer.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate solutions across disciplines.
• Participate in supplier selection and evaluation to ensure quality and delivery standards.
• Write content for work instructions, travelers, and standard shop procedures.
• Utilize electronic work instruction, material control and non-conformance management systems as needed to support production.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, J-STD).
• Ensure the manufacturing work instructions and special processes follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in shop layout and equipment selection for new manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with quality assurance to support inspections and non-conformance resolution.
• Implement design changes as required by engineering.
• Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
